About Anthony Calderisi
With over 25 years of professional experience, Anthony (Tony) Calderisi has been involved in the Chicagoland music scene since his late teens. As a performer, he has graced many of the more popular stages around the city and metropolitan area (Metro, House of Blues, The Vic Theater, Symphony Center, Navy Pier) as well as keeping a solid schedule among the local bars and eateries. As a graduate of Columbia College of Chicago, his concentration in Music Compostion and vocal performance has led him to a steady career as a working performer, songwriter, producer, teacher and instrument luthier.
Anthony's involvment in the Chicago music scene has introduced him to many local musicians to perform and collaborate with on a regular basis. Prior to the Covid shutdown Anthony was a host of Vaughan's Pub Open Jam for close to 20 years, he's crossed paths and joined with some of the city's best local musicians. These relationships have led him to becoming a founding member of the band Diver. His long time cover group, The Ripleys, have been playing many corporate and private events for close to 20 years. Since the reopening of the city of Chicago bars and restaurants, you can find Anthony in quaint settings as well in some of the city and suburb's finest eateries and pubs. He has been playing as a soloist at Himmel's European Bistro in Lincoln Square for close to 14 years on Thursdays and Fridays. His latest project is a group called The Tuesdays, including owner Carol Himmel of Himmel's. It's an exciting new project that plays exclusively at the restaurant on Tuesday evenings or for special events. You can also find Anthony in the suburban areas around Chicago, specifically at The Harp and Fiddle in Park Ridge. And once or twice a month he collaborates with his old band mates from the group Telstar to play the Curragh Irish pub on the city's northwest side as well as shows up in Lake Geneva Wisconsin during the summer.
